Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist will assist the Director of Human Resources with complex and specialized administrative tasks maintaining the integrity and reliability of the organization's HRIS, ensuring applications meet the needs, requirements, and objectives of the HR department.
Reporting Lines:
The Human Resources Generalist will report directly to the Director of Human Resources.
The Human Resources Generalist will not have any direct reports.
Reporting lines and direct reports may change from time to time in line with the requirements of the position.
Key
Responsibilities:
Tracks and documents compliance with mandatory training.
This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
Maintain employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute Human Resources programs including but not limited to benefits and leaves.
Assist with the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers.
Assesses current system and utilization; identifies and recommends improvements such as training, customization, and enhancements to maximize value and efficiency of the HRIS.
Prepares reports and presents findings and recommendations to the HR director and other company leaders.
Supports company-wide information meetings such as open enrollment, new hire onboarding.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate team members.
Acts as liaison with Benefit providers, Brokers, and Third-Party Administrator (TPA) Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law.
Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.
Experience & Qualifications/Minimum
Qualifications:
Three years of office experience preferred, with at least one year within the Human Resources Profession.
Associate degree in human resources or related field.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS system.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
